YAHWEH - Name of the
Father, *transliteration of (YHWH) Elohim - Title of the Word, seen in
visions Yahshua - Name of the Messiah & Holy
Spirit (John 5:43,14:26)
* Transliteration means to compose the
sound of a word in another
language.
Dr. Henry Clifford Kinley
taught in the titles Lord and God and the name Jesus until he revealed to his
students the true names in the 60's. In 1963 a man named A. B. Traina, who was a
Jew, and the Scripture Research Association published the Holy Name Bible
(HN) which is essentially a King James (KJ) Scofield teacher's
edition where the true names and title Elohim were put back into all the text
where they had been taken out over 6,000 times. The HN Bible was out of print
for over 10 years but is again available at Amazon.com if you would like to get one. As of
July 9th 2008 the price was $35 plus $3.99 shipping. Search for the title Holy
Name Bible, author name A. B. Traina. It is very important and helpful to use
the true names and divine title and to understand the what, how and why of the
manifestations and unity of Yahweh (Deu 6:4) so that mankind can
understand Yahweh's purpose, pattern, and plan.
It is to be understood that there are several changes made in the HN text
from what appears in the KJ. Some of these changes are more correct than the KJ
and some are inaccurate. Generally speaking, the KJ is more correct than the HN
except for the very large problem that in the KJ the name of Yahweh was changed
to the titles Lord or Lord God, the title Elohim was changed to God, and instead
of using the name Yahshua for the Saviour the 1611 KJ used Iesus and then later
editions put in the name Jesus. The most notable wrong change in the HN is in
I John 5:7-8 which is explained in the topic of the Tabernacle. The most notable right change in the HN is
putting the names and title back in where they belong.
A simple study of encyclopedias and dictionaries will
prove the information below is correct
Lord and God are both titles, not names. In the 1611 First Edition
of the KJ, published word-for-word in a reprint by Thomas Nelson Publishers,
USA, 1993, in Exdous 3:15 the name (the
Tetragrammaton which is transliterated as Yahweh in English in order to get the
right sound) was replaced by the titles Lord God. Everywhere else where the
Tetragrammaton appeared in Hebrew writings, it was replaced in the KJ with the
titles Lord God or simply Lord. Further the word "lord" when traced back goes to
the word "baal" (American Heritage Dictionary, Easton's 1897 Bible
Dictionary, Hitchcock's Bible Names Dictionary published in the late 1800's)
which title we are specifically instructed not to call the Father (Zep 1:4;
Hos 2:16). Moreover, in the 1611 KJ New Testatment everywhere the name Yahshua (which means Yahweh is salvation) appeared
originally in the Hebrew text, it was replaced with Iesus (Greek) which later in
the 1600's became Jesus with the new English letter J being introduced at that
time. Just as Jesus is not the Saviour's name, Jehovah is not the Father's name:
there is no J sound in the Greek, Hebrew or Latin languages and English has only
had a J sound since the 1600's A.D.
When these facts are brought to a person's attention, oftentimes he/she
will say something like, "Oh well, He knows who I mean when I say God (or
Jehovah)." Does He? Does the bank know who you mean if you present your paycheck
to cash and it is made out to John Doe instead of your name? Or worse yet it is
made out to a title like: lawyer, doctor, man? In 1st Cor 8:5 a Holy
Spirit filled Paul states "...there be deities many, and lords many...". Even
the gentiles or heathen knew that their gods had names! That is why in Exodus
3:13 Moses wanted a name. He had been instructed to inform Israel that the
Elohim (translated "God" in the KJ) of their fathers
ordered them to leave Egypt and knowing the Israelites would ask by whose name
should they depart, Moses wanted to be able to give them a name. For the first
time ever, Yahweh made known His name. Previously He had been only known in
titles that meant almighty provider, and so on. Yahweh was getting ready to work
a physical salvation of Israel by bringing the land of Egypt to its knees by
virtue of His very name, Yahweh, showing the power in that name.
Israel had been in Egypt, a strange land, for 400 years as prophesied
(Gen 15:13). They had learned about the many Egyptian gods and knew their
names. Later these named gods of Egypt would be attacked by the 10 Plagues, which came in the
name of Yahweh, because Pharoah refused to let Israel go in peace until the 10th
plague of death was poured out (Ex 12:29). Yahweh did all these miracles
for a reason: "And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to
shew in thee My power; and that My name may be declared throughout all the
earth," (Ex 9:16). When Israel came upon the Canaanitish tribes they all
knew who the Israelites were and that their Elohim who was named Yahweh was a
mighty one having brought down the mightiest nation on earth at that time,
Egypt, which has never regained such power since.
After Israel left Egypt at the first Passover,
traveled 3 days, crossed the Red Sea arriving at Mt. Sinai 47 days later, and
was given three days to clean up (total of 53 days), all Israel heard the 10
commandments spoken by Yahweh Elohim from the top of the
mount amid thunderings and lightenings (Ex20:18). One of the commandments
given to Israel was told in Exodus 20:7 "...Thou shall not take away the
Name of Yahweh thy Elohim to bring it to nought for Yahweh will not hold him
guiltless that taketh away His Name to bring it to nought" (HN).
In these latter days that commandment has been interpreted as not to take
the Lord's name in vain with the "in vain" part being construed as using the
name to make a curse. The word vain actually means: (1) having no real value or
significance; worthless, empty, idle, hollow, etc., (2) without force or effect;
futile, fruitless, unprofitable, unavailing, etc., (Webster's New World
College Dictionary). The commandment certainly did not mean to stop using
the name or to hide it! It was actually a warning that forgetting or hiding the
name would cause it to become worthless, etc. to mankind, and it could happen
unless they worked hard to keep it known.
Israel itself came to use the title Adonai in place of Yahweh because
they were afraid to speak the name because of their continual disobedience to
Yahweh. They added a couple of jots and tittles to the Tetragrammaton, , to come up with a title the pronounciation of which
in English is Adonai. The Jews know and the Christendom hierarchy knows that the
true name of the father is Yahweh. When this teaching was given in the Vatican
during one of three world trips, the Cardinal listening commented, "I see you
use the name of the Father." In seminaries everywhere Bible students learn about
the true name but are not taught to use it or teach it. Thus it has become
hidden to the masses of mankind unless it is revealed. This is an enormous
deception: taking away the name of the Father. The 1611 and later versions of
the KJ Bible removed the title Elohim and the names Yahweh and Yahshua over
6,000 times!
Along with removing the true name of the Father, in Ex 3:14 the
Hebrew words Ayah Asher Ayah have been translated "I am that I am" when it
actually means "I will be what I will to be." The "I am that I am" sounds like
Popeye and limits Yahweh; whereas, the "I will be what I will to be" shows His
complete power of creation.
This hiding of the name and the divine title Elohim makes for a great
deal of confusion as well. For instance, in Ex 24:10 it is stated in the
KJ that "...they saw the God of Israel..." and in John 1:18 it states
that "No man has seen God at any time." Seems contradictory doesn't it? It is
when the translation uses God in both verses but if you read Ex 24:10 in
the HN it actually says, "...they saw the Elohim of Israel..." and in John
1:18 it says, "No man has seen the Father (Yahweh) at any time." When you
understand who Elohim is, and who Yahshua is, you will begin to see that the one
Yahweh has manifestations. Yahweh is a unity (Deu 6:4) not a trinity and
both of Yahweh's manifestations are still Yahweh but in different forms adopted
in order to communicate with mankind (Elohim) and to sacrifice Himself
(Yahshua the Messiah) for all who ever lived, IF they would believe it,
in order to provide the gift of atonement for disobedience to Yahweh for which
the penalty is spiritual death.
Everywhere you see the word God in the KJ it should say Elohim which
is a title but it is a Divine title, one that Yahweh chose for Himself. In the
Old Testament the Word, or Elohim, appeared over and over and over to the
prophets in order to forward Yahweh's purpose (Eph 1:9-10). Yahweh took
on shape and form right within Himself as Elohim (often called Yahweh
Elohim) and went into the creating business in that form (Gen 1; Ps
33:6-9; John 1:1-3). Yahweh is all in all and pure spirit (John 4:24)
and as such He is incomprehensible and inscrutible. In order to make Himself
known to His creatures and to communicate with them, He appeared as Elohim
(Numbers 12:6; Prov 29:18; Hosea 12:10; Hab 2:2). This is the Word or
Son, a super incorporeal being without flesh and blood Who can only be seen in
divine visions and understood in divine revelations. His appearance is described
in Ex 24:10 and Ez 1:26.
Elohim also appeared to the High Priest on the Day of Atonement (Lev
16) every year on his last (3rd) trip into the Most Holy
Place (MHP) of the Tabernacle. Elohim appeared in the Shekinah flash on the
Mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant between the two Cherubim, IF the ritual
was performed correctly. If it was not performed correctly, Elohim did not make
an appearance and the High Priest died to be pulled out of the MHP by the other
priests putting under the veil between the MHP and the Holy Place (HP) hooks on
poles with which to drag him out. This Day of Atonement was a precursor, shadow,
or promise of the coming of the Messiah one time to die, take His blood into the
heavenly MHP, for the sins of mankind which would be the one perfect atonement
to end all sacrificing and provide salvation for anyone who has faith in Yahshua
having done this for him/her (Hebrews 8:8-12;9:28).
This Word or Elohim is the one that came to prophets and told them what
to say, the one who prophesied what was to come (Ez 1:3; Jer 1:4; Prov
8:22-23). Elohim is Yahweh manifested in a visionary body that can be seen,
if Yahweh wills it, by a human being right within his/her own mind (Num
12:6). It is a plural title because Elohim is both male and female, just as
Yahweh is both male and female, and just as Adam, who was
created in the likeness of Elohim (Gen 1:27), was created both male and
female with the female being taken out of Adam later to create Eve (Gen
2:18). Elohim is Yahweh in His visionary work clothes.
Some of Elohim's appearances in the New
Testament
The spirit being that was within Yahshua, the Son
of Man, was His Father (John 14:7;9-10) Yahweh Elohim. After Yahshua's
death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, Paul saw and heard and saw Elohim
(or Yahshua who while in a specially prepared physical body was Yahweh Elohim
manifested in a physical body on a mission to be the Messiah) on the road to
Damascus while no one with him saw this visionary being telling Paul what to do
(Acts 9:1-7). This same vision Paul described to King Agrippa when Paul
was tried and sent to Rome (Acts 22:6, 11). Paul's vision was so real it
turned him, more rightly and firstly named Saul and a zealot in the teaching of
the Mosaic law, totally around from persecuting the believers in the Messiah
(Acts 8:1-3; 22:3) to becoming himself a believer and a mighty teacher of
the Gospel.
This Word or Elohim was also seen by John the Baptist whom Elohim sent on
a mission to baptize Israel unto the death, burial and resurrection of the
Messiah, and to identify the Messiah (John 1:33). This is also the
visionary form seen by John the Beloved whom he describes in Rev.
1:13-16. This is the one Peter, James, and John the Beloved saw transform
from the physical being, Yahshua the Messiah, into the
visionary, glorious Elohim in Matt 17:1-2 which was a fulfillment of Moses, Nadab and Abihu seeing Elohim on
Mt. Sinai (Ex 24:9-10).
In the 1611 KJ New Testatment everywhere the name Yahshua (which means Yahweh is salvation) appeared
originally, it was replaced with Iesus (Greek) which later in the 1600's became
Jesus starting with the new English letter J which was introduced at that time.
The letter J should rightly be the last letter of the English alphabet because
it was the last letter added. Further, the Greek Iesus comes from the name Zeus,
the ruling God in the Greek pantheon. Zeus is word number 2424 in Strong's
Concordance Greek section and is pronounced ee-ay-sooce, which means Healing
Zeus. Each person should research this matter on his/her own to prove, beyond a
shadow of a doubt, the truth of it. Then when you know it for yourself, for a
certainty, that the Saviour's name is Yahshua, you will understand why He said,
"I am come in My Father's Name, and ye receive me not; let another come in his
own name, him ye will receive" (John 5:43). Yahshua's name literally
means: Yahweh is salvation. Since this is the name of salvation
(Acts 4:12; Phil 2:9), the only name, it is axiomatically important we
know the right name and the facts are that Jesus is not that name but rather the
name Yahshua is the right name!
It is simply amazing to think that all these years, hundreds of years,
mankind has been calling the Saviour by the wrong name!!!! It's hard to give up
the name of Jesus because it's so deeply ingrained in us and much has been done
in that name, another name Yahshua Himself said we would follow (John
5:43)! One should realize the importance of a name, any name and especially
this name, and then start calling Him by His right name which would, at the very
least, be polite and at the most means a person's being able to live in eternity
with Him. In Mat 7:22-23 He said that people would say, "(22) Many will
say to me in that day, Rabbi, Rabbi, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in
thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" and
"(23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity."
This is a huge deception, not like simply hiding the name of Yahweh but completely changing the name of the Messiah from
Yahshua to a name that could never have been pronounced in the Hebrew, Greek, or
Latin languages, and could not have been pronounced in English until some 1600
years after the Messiah's death, burial, and resurrection. Satan did quite a job
in this regard, deceiving the whole world which is what he does (Rev.12:10
HN; Rev 12:9 KJ).
Yahshua's appearance in the Old
Testament
In I Cor 10:4 it says, "And did all drink the same spiritual
drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that went with them and that Rock
was the Messiah" (HN - in 1917 KJ it says "followed" and "the Christ"). Did you
ever really think about that? It literally says that Yahshua, who is the
Messiah, was with the Israelites, that He went with them. That was promised to
Moses (Ex 3:12, 23:20), "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep
thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared."
For 40 years in the wilderness and 40 years in Canaan this angel
manifested as the "Messiah with them" as Joshua or rather Yahshua (there being
no J or J sound then either) who appeared in Egypt as a man of 30. Yahshua was
110 years old when he died in Canaan's land (Yahshua {Joshua} 24:29). The
Israelites were in the wilderness for 40 years before crossing over into
Canaan's Land (Numbers 14:33-34). It took another 40 years to conquer
Canaan's Land. So he had to be 30 years old at the exodus + 40 years in the
wilderness + 40 years to conquer Canaan's Land = 110 years old when he died. He
was Moses' minister and then Israel's leader when they crossed the Jordan River
into the promised land of Canaan which was a type or shadow of crossing through
the veil between the HP and the MHP of the Tabernacle
Pattern.
Indeed, we are told only Yahshua can take us back to the Father, Yahweh,
in John 6:37-38,40,44 and crossing the Jordan was a shadow of crossing
from the physical into the spiritual realm that will happen at the Universal
Revelation of Yahshua the Messiah when He himself "...shall descend from heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of Yahweh
and the dead in the Messiah shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet Yahshua in the air;
and so shall we ever be with Him" (I Thes 4:16-17).
In Num 13:16 the man "Osea," or "Oshea," or "Yah-ha-shuah," is
said to be the son of Nun. When you look up Nun in a concordance you find that
Hebrew word means perpetuity, everlasting or without end. This man was assigned
to the tribe of Ephraim by Moses. He appears for the first time in Scripture
when Israel fights Amalek and his forces (Ex17:9). John 5:46 tells
us that Yahshua the Messiah tells the Jews, "For had ye believed Moses, ye would
have believed Me; for he wrote of Me." Moses wrote, or had written, the book of
Exodus in which Yahshua appears.
In Exodus 24 one really begins to see that back then Yahshua was
physical salvation to Israel, just as He is now spiritual salvation to all that
ever lived. It becomes evident that Yahshua, the minister of Moses, was more
than a man because when Moses went to the top of the mount (Ex 24:13)
Yahshua goes with him with impunity even though Moses was specifically told no
one but himself could go to the top of the mount without suffering death (Ex
19:12,24:1). In Ex 24:14 Moses tells them to "Tarry ye here for
US...". Evidently, when Moses went up with Yahshua to the top of the mount, the
latter transformed into Elohim and took Moses into the Day of Yahweh, or
eternity, to give Moses esoteric knowledge including the visions of creation and
the tabernacle pattern among other things. This trip to the top of the mount was
later fulfilled by Yahshua the Messiah when He went up
into a mount with Peter, James and John who all saw His transformation into
Elohim and where there also appeared Moses (the first prophet under the law) and
Elijah (the last prophet under the law) identified by Yahshua as John the
Baptist in Matt 17:11-12. They too were in glorified bodies (Matt
17:1-3).
This Yahshua (called Joshua in the KJ) that was Moses' minister,
led Israel across Jordan, fought the tribes there, and distributed their
promised land. He led their battles and never received a scratch. He died and
was buried at 110 years of age (Josh 24:29).
In Joshua 24:1-2 (Yahshua) it says, "Joshua (Yahshua) gathered all the
tribes of Israel...and they presented themselves before Elohim. And Joshua
(Yahshua) said unto all the people, "Thus saith Yahweh Elohim of Israel...". He
goes on to recap all He has done for Israel back to before the flood. This shows
that Israel by that time knew that Joshua, actually Yahshua, was a special
person. At that time His salvation was a physical one for Israel and of guiding
them into the promised land of Canaan. When He led them across the River Jordan
it was a type or shadow of taking them into heaven into which Yahshua alone can
take a follower who has the Holy Spirit. The entire
migration of Israel was a type of the spiritual salvation to come when Yahshua
returned as the Messiah. An understanding about how the Tabernacle Pattern works will make this evident.
Yahshua's appearance in the New
Testament
When He came again as Yahshua the promised
Messiah, it was unto spiritual salvation for mankind, to die for mankind's sins
and along the way to fulfill the Law and the Prophets
to prove who He was (Matt 3:15, 5:27;Luke 24:27,44-45), nailing the old
law to His cross by keeping it perfectly and being the last sacrifice - one
without sin (Col 2:14). With His death, burial, and resurrection,
ascension, and pouring out of the Holy Spirit (His, Elohim's, and Yahweh's
spirit: they are all Yahweh) on mankind He ushered in a New Age, a New Covenant.
This entire web site is about the Gospel,
salvation through Yahshua the Messiah, which can be understood only by going
back to the Law and the Prophets (Is 8:20) to acquire faith, through
proof and evidence (Heb 11:1) of who He was, is, and will continue to be:
Yahweh is salvation. Probably the very first thing to learn is that
anywhere any Bible says Jesus or Jesus Christ it should say Yahshua or Yahshua
the Messiah, the true name of salvation.
Accomplishing one's own research into this matter is essential so that
one can know for a surety that the true name of the Saviour is Yahshua. By the
way, Christ is a title just like lord and god, but it goes back to the word
Krishna which is a Hindu god. Remember language was confounded by Yahweh when
the tower of Babel was abuilding (Gen 11:9) and all the names for the
Babylonian gods came out slightly different to all the people who then left in
groups (of those who could understand each other) to be scattered abroad.
Babel literally means confusion and there is a babbeling or confusion right now
in regard to the true names and title of Yahweh and His manifestations, Elohim
and Yahshua.
